Interesting Statistic

I heard an interesting statistic this morning.... In the United States, only ten percent of married couples have equal paychecks. I find that statistic amazing given that in this day and age when both men and woman work I would have thought that it would have been much higher. Then again, Just in my personal family, when my wife and I first got married, she earned much more then I did and as the years progressed, I caught up to her. It has been only in the last few years that I actually out earned her.

I wonder if this statistic has any impact on how many people get divorced in this country. By this, I mean, is there any resentment from a man (or woman) that their spouse makes more money then they do? I would think that this would be an interesting piece of research instead of the usual crap that they do research on. Does the fact that a woman that out earns her husband cause the husband to resent her and file for a divorce? I for one didn't have a problem back then (of course I think of myself as being quite liberal towards this.) I don't care if my wife works and/or how much she makes so long as she wants to work. I wonder how some of the other cultures treat woman that work and out earn their spouse?

Here's some blog fodder for you Bruce.

I know you enjoy playing a game or two and currently I find myself at a disadvantage. The odds stacked against me, so to speak. Playing an unusual matrix game with a rather complicated competitive blogging sharkman. I am a stubborn player and I am KEENLY aware that I am playing in a heavy handed matrix game. So. Here's the deal Bruce.

Next time you cross paths with Ed.... and since your comments pass inspection over at Eduardos place, tell him, actually Bruce tell him friendly matrix decapitation (and yes there is such a thing)is looking mighty fine from where I'm sitting. Did you know I'm a fan of pirates? Intelligent, dark hair, dashing looks with a romantic accent. I’m thinking Zorro here.

Now I am well aware that Zorro is not a high-seas-robbery-type-pirate but in his own right he is a swashbuckling-intelligent-charitable-living-on-the-edge-dry-land-pirate taking from the rich, planning plots to overthrow masterminds yet behind the mask he’s a family man. What woman isn’t attracted to that bad/good mix of a man? Then if my memory serves me correctly, Zorro pulls in a babe who knows how to work a long blade. Now she’s definitely an unconventional babe, one would not find this kind of woman listed in the conventional babe classification guide book.

Stay with me here Bruce. The point of my comment is drawing near.

Now I personally would never use a long blade to physically injure anyone unless my life was in danger. However I find myself in need of a blogknive, just to kinda sorta maybe threaten. I can see from the published comment above that your brother in law visits here. Bruce, your relative Ed... I can confide in you right? Well, Bruce here's the scoop he is blocking all my comments on his road. Hmmmmmmmmm

Hence forth. My comment to Ed the man on the road. Here on your blog
and if you would be so kind topass this message on to him exactly as written here:

Unguard Comment Blocking Sharkman *wink*

*Picture Katherine Zeta Jones with a fierce look in her eyes facing off Zorro in the horse stable [cut to scene where Zorro cuts a Z in her white dress, do an erase and rewrite] she cuts a L in his black caped attire as pieces of his clothing fall to the floor while the look in his eyes visible through the mask…. well gosh I couldn't say...

Fairwarning: Eduardo, Mr. Man on The Road, take note ya best be watchn which commenters ye be blockn cause unconventional babes have their own ways of get'n their comments published.

Thank you Bruce.

Ok then.

Let me joust swashbuckle me name here with a smile,

L

Regarding that I heart Eduardo post...did it ever cross your mind that it just might be a mutual crush thing and btw I clearly see the car and the babe...

Bruce and Fe Man are not the same folks. For the record, this is Fe Man's blog. There are two Bruce's, though. One real and one we just call Bruce. That could be confusing.

Btw, I am not blocking content on my site unless you post as someone else, for example when you tried to send a post through as The Pronoun.

I also am not entirely sure what you are talking about many times. I wish I were. Some things seem to reference stuff I have said, but I just don't know what you mean.

First my apologies FeMan.

It appears from Eduardo’s comment above that you’re not the Bruce that’s married to Eduardo’s sister …the one that has two lovely daughters you enjoy teaching and running and training for marathons as well and you’re not the Bruce that rented the van for the all male UpNorth cottage getaway then. Right. But I know for a fact that you are the one guy who had guts enough to get decked out in drag queen attire for last years Relay for Life and I thought that was way *kewl*.

Well FeMan since we are blog strangers then and it appears that I have no idea who you are and you were so kind not to delete my blunder of a comment up above, let me start over by introducing myself.

Hello FeMan, nice blog you have here. I like the title of ZoTime you write well written posts. My friends and family have a few nicknames for me as well although most call me Lori although I travel the blog currently commenting under the nickname of Hmmm. I am an easy going quite likeable and a friendly mom of four living way way UpNorth beyond your yoopers infact. I enjoy reading fellow bloggers blogs in the little spare time that I have and look at the clock I’ve got to run…..

Well FeMan nice to meet you. My prayers go out to Magic Marge and I wish you and your family a Blessed Easter and I’ll see you around the blog.

Oh and btw say please say Hi to Eduardo for me next time you see him and wish him a Blessed Easter as well.

Best Regards,

Lori

p.s. Bruce...I mean FeMan without a squiggle line... if there is even a remote chance that your family Easter celebration includes at least one round of poker...my humble advice...I would totally keep an eagle eye on Mr. Sharkman's stone cold bluff.
