Laugh at me now... will ya!

Oh yea, I can hear you now.... what the heck is Zotime talking about?

Well, let me tell you this... all of you convenience store owners that wouldn't take my Canadian quarters 20 years ago when I got back from Canada after a night of getting blitzed are now all to willing to take the Loonies or Twonies or whatever the heck they call them now.

That's right folks, the Canadian Dollar hit a 30 year high today against the US dollar. One US dollar now gets you only a measly $1.07 Canadian. That's not even worth the bother to convert.

One of the guys at work (a Canadian) was commenting that he has taken a 15 percent wage cut since the beginning of the year just because the Canadian dollar is making huge gains against the sawbuck.

At this rate we should see the Ambassador bridge swelling with an influx of Canadians making their way across the border to come over hear to shop at our stores. It was bad enough before with these guys trying to get around the GST tax and the like. Now their dollar is almost on par with ours so the waves of hockey loving, Moosehead beer drinking, Igloo loving Canucks are sure to come to Michigan and buy all of our stuff..... maybe, just maybe we will finally have a trade surplus with someone in the world.

These are just my thoughts…. not your.
