Guys Night
Norm was at work yesterday night. Itchy and Scratchy had friends over, so I invited some of the guys to come on over. The "Man Cave" was in full effect. I had the poker table laid out and there was plenty of pizza and diet coke to go around.
So the poker was fun, we raised some cash for my favorite charity, and the LCD was a big hit. There were several points during the night when Umberto was playing Call of Duty 4 and Eduardo kept saying that he was waiting for the hot babe to walk into the scene as they do during a movie. The picture quality was just that good. I was even impressed as it was the first time that the TV was showcased at 1080p definition.
Lessons learned from last night...
The hand made popcorn didn't turn out as well as I thought it should have. I need to find the popcorn salt that I had at one time... it's the stuff you get when you go to the movies. If anyone knows where to get it... let me know.
I need to put a few candles in the cave, as it seems that some of the bears like to share their odor.
I need to buy a few more HDMI cables for the TV so that I don't need to keep using the same one. Since last night, I ordered two more from mycablemart.com. They have the version 1.3 variety for about $7. That's a great price as they are $60 - $170 at the local big electronic store.
Call of Duty looks awesome. I hear it is a blast to play online.
I need to get the air hockey table out of the basement and bring down the sectional sofa so there is some casual seating. That’s going to have to wait until we order some new furniture for the living room.
I think I’m going to have to post a little more on the subject of “Man Caves.” Stay tuned for those.

Regarding super fine popcorn salt...
Are you familiar with the Morton Umbrella Girl, she's a cute little blonde [wink] She can generally be found in any grocery isle near the popcorn [in a super fine three inch tall X one and a half inch round petite light sky blue colored container...]
She's quite easy to locate, look for a cute blonde holding an umbrella.
When it rains it pours...
Lori,
Isn't Mortons salt just plain salt?
I was looking for specifically popcorn salt. I thought that was orange in color.
I need to do some more research on the net.
Zotime
FeMan,
Morton's makes plain table salt as well as super fine popcorn salt which can be found in a petite round light blue shaker generally in the popcorn section...however if you are looking for butter flavored super fine salt which would be orange in color, (I'm not sure where to find that).
I use a small amount of real butter, when ever I make homemade popcorn....which is not that often.
You know that fake stuff, orange dye can't be good for a person...
Best of Luck on the net.
Hate to tell ya big brother, Candles do not a man cave make. You want a man cave, you're gonna have to deal with the cave odor. Seriously you start lighting candles and those other bears are gonna eviscerate you.
