Music Monday - Radiohead

Radiohead - Creep

I decided to go old school on you guys and so this week Radiohead is the featured artist. Radiohead is a five piece English alternative music band that has been around since the early '90's.

Creep is the bands first single, and is the classic underdog song as the vocals tell the story of a someone who is just not really good enough. Jonny Greenwood didn't like the song very much and tried to sabotage it. You can hear his attempt when you hear the three blasts of guitar noise that precede the chorus.

When you were here before
Couldn't look you in the eye
You're just like an angel
Your skin makes me cry
You float like a feather
In a beautiful world
I wish I was special
You're so fucking special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here

I don't care if it hurts
I want to have control
I want a perfect body
I want a perfect soul
I want you to notice when I'm not around
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell I'm doing here?
I don't belong here

She's running out again
She's running out
She runs runs runs

Whatever makes you happy
Whatever you want
You're so fucking special
I wish I was special

But I'm a creep
I'm a weirdo
What the hell am I doing here?
I don't belong here
I don't belong here

Again, you pick a song I love! I'd almost forgotten about it since it's not really something I was old enough to listen to when it came out. That said, old school is damn good too!

I love Radiohead, Loved Creep, loved OK Computer, Loved the pay what you want download they did, but damn it, every time I see them I think Ed Grimley and his triangle from SNL. Has anybody seen Pat Sajak?
