Irony

Man O' War is arguably the greates horse ever to race. He only raced as a two and three year old, but during his racing career, his record was 20-1. He did not win the triple crown as a three year old as his trainer did not not want his horse to run that long of a race that early in the season. Furthermore, the Triple Crown was only in the second year and was not going to be renowned for another ten years.

At the end of his third year "Big Red" as he was also known ran a match race against the first triple crown winner, Sir Barton. This is where I'm going to interject the first bit of useless knowledge. The race was at Kenilworth Park in Windsor Ontario. Man O' War won by seven lengths as he was slowing down at the end.

The second portion of the useless knowledge is that Man O' War's only loss came as a two year old to a horse named Upset.
