Ian sold his entire life on eBay, and by entire I mean, his house, his car, his motorcycle, his jet ski, his toys, a try at his job as a salesman, even an introduction to his friends and all of his personal belongings. The only thing that he did not sell was his passport. Why would a man do this? If you didn’t notice... the only thing he didn't sell was his wife. That’s because she left him for another man a few years earlier.
How much seed money did he wind up with when he sold his life? Well the bidding started at $1 and in the first few days it went to $10,000. Near the end it had topped over the $2 million dollars, but when the dust cleared and an actual bidder was found, the amount that transferred to Ian was just under $400,000.
His friends think that he has hit the ultimate mid life crisis, but what do you do when you have all of this cash and nothing holding you down? If you’re Ian (who seems like kind of thrill seeker) you decide to use the money to complete 100 goals in 100 weeks.
That story would have been great if it just happened, but the actual event took place in the middle of June last year, so now he well underway in his goals and has accomplished over half of his initial goals.
