RIP

This past weekend my youth is starting to die off.

Farrah Fawcett was my first crush. Let's face it she was very attractive to this young man.

Michael Jackson was at his prime right when I was in my late teens early twenties. His music was pop and when I was into that sort of music it blared on my boom box. He did have a few songs that were memorable. My favorite song of his is attached.

Of Farrah, I remember seeing her famous poster, her figure cut out just right to fit in quite a few highschool guys lockers. I would venture to guess that,...that fine particular poster made her millions. [Smile]

And of Michael, I was never much of a pop fan always more of a rocker yet I would have to admit that Michael definitely wrote a number of catchy beaty tunes. I hate to admit that I could still sing Billy Jean and Thriller for you word for word. Ah, music on vinyl, clearly I'm aging myself. [Smile]

Certainly Michael was blessed with a natural musical gift as a writer, composer, dancer and his showmanship made him mega bucks yet I personally never cared much for the sound of his voice, too boyish for my taste and quite sad for him that his life turned into such a bizarre circus like controversy.

Still, I do have a vinyl album or two of his. I know for sure I have 'Dangerous' because, well, have you heard his song "Give In To Me"? While everyone interprets lyrics a bit different I believe the lyrics of 'Give In To Me' talk about how he has never experienced love and he wants it. He want's real love yet...back to the music aspect, while it's one of Michael's lesser known songs I personally think its one of his best and only rock out songs with a Band member of [I can't remember his name] Guns and Roses on the guitar.

Always a sad day when folks lose someone they love, be it a famous star or just regular everyday family folks who have lost a loved one...
